I built Know My Pet for the moment you look at your dog or cat and think: what is going on in there? I wanted an honest, affordable way to turn everyday behaviour into something you can actually use.

I design the questions, the scoring and the report framework, working from published research on dog and cat behaviour. AI writes each personal report from your answers, following that framework.

Why I made this

Why this exists

Most pet personality quizzes are breed stereotypes with a cute label on top. I wanted the opposite: questions about what your animal actually does, a type that comes from two research-backed dials, and a report that tells you what to change on Monday.

What the questions are built on

The dog quiz draws on the Monash Canine Personality Questionnaire and the C-BARQ behaviour survey. The cat quiz draws on the Feline Five and the Fe-BARQ, with the AAFP/ISFM environmental needs guidelines behind the advice. These are adaptations written for owners, not the original instruments; the methodology page explains the sources, the scoring and the limits.

Read with a little curiosity

Keep what fits, question what doesn't, and watch your animal. A report is a starting point for understanding them, not a diagnosis, and a sudden change in behaviour is always a question for your vet first.
